Nestlé Professional sponsored the 2016 World Chef Congress & Expo in Thessaloniki, Greece, with the aim of creating an engaging space for both established and young chefs. The goal was to design a unique, branded “space within a space” at the event where young chef delegates could relax, connect, and engage with renowned chefs and personalities.
Given the hot September weather in Greece, we created The Chill Room—a cool, relaxing area inspired by a traditional cold storage room. Key features included oversized “hanging” posters of chilled meat carcasses for messages, vinyl strip curtains to keep the room cool, custom-made furniture, bean bags, mobile charging stations, and free WiFi. This dual-purpose space provided a cool retreat from the heat and a relaxing area to connect with others.
